Gardening has become more and more popular over the years. More and more garden related programmes have been shown on television, with more books being published and information made easily available. This has boosted everyone’s awareness with environmental issues, and this is why solar power ties in perfectly.
Solar powered lighting has become a common feature among those who are trying to be more environmentally friendly. It is far much cheaper than normal electricity, brilliant for the environment, and avoids all the troubles that may occur when installing electrical lighting in a garden. Such issues being that you have to dig trenches to install the cables, to they avoid being exposed to the elements. All 
solar lighting needs is a battery and sunlight.
There are various forms of lighting to have in your garden. From stepping stones and lanterns to dome lights, pole lighting. They are usually constructed from molded plastics, copper or stainless steel. Different coloured panels and bulbs can also be fitted. Solar lighting can be bright, but often it will send out a sort amber or white glow, which is a gentle look that is easy on the eye.
Other forms of solar powered lighting in the garden is solar floats. They are usually disc shaped, and make great additions to a pond, or hot tub, garden furniture or other places where standard lighting may not be possible. Along with solar floats there are also solar balls. These will also float on water, in perhaps a pond or pool, but can be used on any water source, for an added environmentally friendly look.
You can also get solar flower. These resemble different types of flowers, that can glow in various colours, of course powered by solar power. 
For the more luxurious person, a great addition for you may be solar powered stepping stones. These can come in different shapes, sizes and styles, and give your garden pathway a glorious glow.
There are many possible varieties of solar powered lighting in the garden. It will save you money whilst at the same time helping the environment and contributing to the green campaign.
